It’s been a great couple of weeks in the garden. June 26th was a big planting day for us, with cucumbers, two kinds of squash, bell peppers and jalapeno peppers all going in the ground. Here’s a picture of everyone in front of the new bed we made, soon to be filled with cucumber and squash.
We had a mellower day this past Saturday, harvesting the kale and collards, which are still going strong, and doing some weeding. Everything we planted on the 26th looks like it’s dealing with the heat much better than me at least, and is quite happy. The sweet potatoes we planted earlier in June are really taking off, and the tomatoes are still green but getting bigger all the time.
